SECONDARY RESEARCH + INSIGHTS' ANALYSIS
EXISTING PRODUCTS ( tap to view )

KEY INSIGHTS - OVERALL RESEARCH
There are numerous young children suffering from chronic respiratory illnesses that requires the use of medical equipments such as
-
Nebulizer for treatment
-
Peakflow meter for measuring the ability to push air out of your lungs
-
Spirometry for pulmonary function or breathing test
-
Incentive spirometer as an exercise equipment for the lungs to keep them strong and working well.
Most of the above medical equipment can seem scary to a young child and are n't designed keeping their mental perspective in mind.
Almost all young children are either afraid of ashamed when asked to use the medical equipment if it helps them breathe and monitor their lungs.
Majority Healthcare professionals agree that medical healthcare equipment for treatment and monitoring can be better designed for children to increase patient compliancy
We can find ways to positively distract a child to using a playful interaction with said equipment. Power of play - positive distraction - increased compliancy

IDEATION OF CONCEPT
(Tap each box to read more on the Devices)
Nebulizer is a treatment device turn liquid medicine into a mist so that kids can breathe it in.
Spirometry is the most common type of pulmonary function or breathing test. This test measures how much air you can breathe in and out of your lungs, as well as how easily and fast you can the blow the air out of your lungs.

SCENARIO MAPPING
Use the insights gained from the research and ideation, scenario mapping was conducted.
